Welcome to the Altoona Football League Website The vision of the AFL from inception, in 1994, is to provide an outlet for youth to participate in an organized team sport . The mission of our league is to help area grade-school children learn the value of teamwork and discipline while providing them with athletic instruction. The secondary mission is to provide fundamentals of tackle football to as many fifth and sixth grade youth in the Altoona area. As a league, we not only teach football fundaments, but also the fundamentals of good sportsmanship. This league has been in existence for the past 12 years, and looks forward to a number of years in the future. The children gain confidence as they become better athletes and teammates. We are supported by various business of the community. These business are the sponsors of the various teams. Currently we have six sponsored teams: Coldwell Banker Town and Country Real estate, First Commonwealth Bank, M&T Bank, ReMax Results Reality, and Sheetz Inc. The Film Center has assisted us in developing and maintaining our website.
